I will be taking parental leave on July 10 for 6-9 months.
I work with individuals and couples in-person and virtually in Halifax, NS (RCT-C), and virtually in British Columbia (RCC). With 6 years of experience, I come from a trauma informed, feminist, and collaborative approach. I use EMDR, DBT, Narrative therapy, Emotional Focused Therapy, and Gottman Method Couples Therapy. I have experience working with clients from varying populations and backgrounds including members of LGBTQ2SIA+, BIPOC, and neurodivergent communities.
Important - Please note, I will be moving offices to 2459 Agricola street as of November 1st.
My approach is non-judgemental, and client-centered, with a goal of helping clients recognize their strengths, coping skills, and resiliency. You can expect challenging questions and also an invitation to pause and notice feelings, emotions, and sensations. My intention is to not just talk about feelings, but to learn tools and skills to move through them.
I have been in private practice since 2021, and have worked as a supervisor and counsellor at a women’s sexual health clinic working with clients through abortion, miscarriage, and sexual assault since 2018.
I hold a M.A. in Counselling Psychology from the University of Victoria, and M.Ed. in Developmental Psychology from the University of Toronto.
