I currently am accepting new clients. Hello, my name is Sierra. I can offer you a safe space for you to discuss what is going on in your life. I completed my masters in counselling psychology at Yorkville University and graduated with distinction. I specialize in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, positive psychology, and Dialectic Behaviour Therapy. My specialities are working with young adults, depression, anxiety, addiction, bipolar disorder, as well as life transitions. I have a lot of compassion for my clients which allows me to foster a safe environment for clients.
My approach to counselling is deeply rooted in person-centred psychology which highlights the significance of authenticity, empathy, as well as unconditional positive regard. This approach works to help clients discuss how they are feeling. I find that being kind towards clients and building rapport are keys to successfully solving problems.
I am a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA) verified psychotherapist. Due to the fact that I am CCC and CCPA certified many insurance companies will cover my services.
