About
I have been providing collaborative mental health and addiction services for youth, adolescents and adults in the Ottawa Region for the past 18 years. I work closely with individuals and families to identify the best treatment plans to meet their unique needs. Some techniques I use include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Collaborative Problem Solving, Mindfulness Integrated CBT, Trauma Practice and Addiction Issues. I use an assertive care approach which can provide some support between sessions, as needed, for clients to meet their goals with non-life-threatening mental health challenges. Many clients have found this very helpful.
I specialize in both mental health and addiction issues. Trauma therapy, addictions, anxiety, depression are all common challenges that I help my clients work their way through. Quite often these issues are combined with relationship problems and we create a holistic and strengths based treatment plan together.
Working closely with Inuit, First Nations and Metis around multi-generational trauma from a culturally respectful/informed perspective. I see clients who have NIHB coverage. I provide supervision to those working on certification with the Canadian Addictions Certification Federation as well as take Internship Students completing their masters level internship.
