I am a trauma informed therapist, and work primarily with individuals who are newcomers and refugees in settlement sector, on a wide variety of issues, including the following: Depression, Anxiety, Relationship challenges and problems (ex. marriage counseling), Self-esteem and identity challenges, Parenting issues and intergenerational conflict, Trauma impacts, Transitions to Canada resource building, and Support networking. My therapeutic approach is centered around building a therapeutic relationship where you feel seen, heard, valued, and trusted.
I have worked with many different community service organizations and universities (wearing many different hats at each) providing direct mental health services and education to adults within the newcomer and refugee populations. I hold a deep desire to nurture others and hold space for them during their current life successes and challenges.
I provide culturally sensitive services that support individuals, couples, and families to overcome settlement barriers, manage conflicts, and enhance overall well-being.
