I am a registered Clinical Counsellor with a Masters degree in Counselling from City University of Seattle. I work with teenagers and adults of all ages in the areas of anxiety, depression, chronic health concerns, chronic pain, grief and loss. With over a decade of experience supporting individuals with physical and mental health challenges, as well as having dealt with my own health concerns, I have a deep understanding of the practical and emotional problems that illness brings. Feeling betrayed by one's body, struggling with physical challenges and mourning the loss of one's previous level of functioning are all workable issues.
At a foundational level I provide a safe, non-judgemental space for personal exploration. All feelings are welcome! My approach is a blend of solution-focused, somatic, attachment, mindfulness & trauma-informed modalities. I have training in Somatic Experiencing (SE), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Existential Analysis and hypnosis.
Within all of us is a movement towards connection, health and aliveness. No matter how withdrawn or isolated we have become, or how serious the trauma, we all have the capacity to move forward despite great obstacles. In therapy, I can help you access your innate healing capacity, get unstuck from old patterns and experience new possibilities for living.
