I am a doctoral-level Registered Psychologist. I believe it takes a lot of courage to seek out help and support, and deeply respect people's willingness to engage in the process of therapy for healing and self-improvement. I use a collaborative approach with my clients in deciding how issues will be addressed in therapy and how problems will be approached. I work with a variety of issues including depression, anxiety, grief, stress, chronic pain, insomnia. I have extensive training and experience treating PTSD in Trauma Exposed Professionals: RCMP, Veterans, firefighters, paramedics, EMS, corrections, health-care providers
Approaches include: Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), CBT for Insomnia, Client-Centred (Humanistic), Existential Therapy, Hope Focused Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Prolonged Exposure Therapy (PET), Cognitive Behavioural Conjoint Therapy for PTSD (CBCT).
It is very important to feel safe with your therapist and trust that you'll be understood without judgment. I strive to create a positive therapeutic relationship with my clients.
