Children and teens don't always express what they're going through in the same way as adults. Your child or teen may be navigating autism, ADHD, anxiety, big emotions, school stress, friendships, self-esteem, behavioural challenges, or simply feeling overwhelmed. I begin with connection and safety, using play and creativity with younger children and a more conversational, collaborative approach with teens. With 9 years of experience in behavioural therapy, I look beneath behaviour with curiosity and compassion while helping young people feel understood, accepted, and supported.
My approach is relationship-first, trauma-informed, and neurodiversity-affirming. With younger children, I use play, creativity, narrative therapy and practical strategies to build connection and expression. Teen sessions are more conversational and collaborative, creating space to explore emotions, identity, relationships, school and what matters to them.
I know reaching out for your child or teen can feel like a big step. My goal is to create a space where young people can be themselves without judgment or pressure to open up before they're ready. I value working alongside caregivers when helpful, because children and teens are shaped by the relationships and environments around them.
