The primary focus of my practice is supporting individuals who are feeling stuck in life. Together we explore the often invisible yet powerful forces (internal and external) that can shape our lives and move us away from our values and toward distress. We also explore the benefit of using emotion to guide us toward values and a greater sense of peace. Over the course of therapy my clients engage in guided self reflection and generally experience a gradual unfolding of insight, the illumination of a meaningful path forward, and the courage to move through fear in service to their preferred future.
My life experiences, especially my work as an oncology nurse, allow me to bring deep empathy to the struggles of my clients. I draw inspiration from a number of evidence-based models of therapy including Parts Work and Narrative Therapy. My passion is helping people find the inner peace associated with living a meaningful life aligned with personal values.
Life can be hard and I have deep respect for those who seek therapy in an effort to make the most of their one precious life. It would be my privilege to accompany you on the journey to your preferred future - one that will include embracing what is working, letting go of what is not, and finding the clarity and courage to make necessary changes.
