Shannon Young Counselling and Therapy is part of the YMM Collaborative Practice Team. If you are looking for support for anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship concerns, grief and loss, irritability, or stress management I may be able to help. I have worked with adults, youth, and kids, as well as individuals and couples. My primary areas of practice are with maternal and perinatal mental health for individuals and couples, with a special focus on grief and loss and reproductive trauma in the perinatal period. I am a registered Social Worker with the ACSW, and authorized to practice virtually in Nova Scotia, I have an MSW, BSW, and BA. I also have a certificate in Perinatal Mental Health. My primary therapeutic frameworks are CBT, EMDR, EFT, and DBT skills. I work with clients to develop a treatment plan that works to support their goals.
