With a background in community mental health, social services, and healthcare, I strive to meet my clients where they're at, building a strong foundation in our therapeutic relationship. I use skills from a variety of modalities including Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and attachment theory to help my clients draw on their own strengths, learn more effective coping strategies, and view their lives from a new perspective, to bring about personal growth.
In my practice, you are centered as the expert-no one knows your life and experiences better than you do! My goal is to listen with empathy and compassion, and to offer a fresh perspective, as well as the opportunity to learn new coping skills and strategies so you can live with peace, strength, and a deeper understanding of your own self.
When you are ready, please reach out by phone or email to schedule a free 15-minute consultation with me. I look forward to meeting you and learning your story. For online booking, please see my website: counsellingwithshannon.janeapp.com
