I provide counselling and support to people coping with a variety of mental health challenges (with or without a diagnosis). These may include depression, anxiety, self-esteem issues, emotion management, eating disorder and addiction issues. I also have a special interest in parent and caregiver support. My counselling style is client-centred and strengths-focused. I aim to provide a safe place for an individual to express their thoughts and feelings. Using this safe space, we can collaborate on identifying the client's goals, and steps to accomplishing them.
The bulk of my experience has been working with children and youth who are struggling with a variety of issues. Through my experiences of counselling them, I have learned that parents and caregivers often need support in helping their children.
With a strong background of working with children and youth, I have a special understanding of the issues they face. At the same time, each kid is unique, and as parents, you know them best. I aim to help families use their relationships with their children, to create a bridge of support for them.
