Couselling is a very individual and private experience. Sometimes people come to a therapist to overcome emotional pain or discomfort they are experiencing; sometimes they come because they want to resolve some inner conflict; and sometimes they come just because they want to become a better person. I try to match my skills with your needs and work sensitively with you to sort out what it is that brought you to me. I use a variety of therapeutic tools in a transparent way. I work with couples and individuals, both men and women.
I was a social worker for more than 25 years working with families in distress. I have been a licensed counselling therapist since 2013. I have experience, skills, and specialized training in providing Couples Counselling and Family Counselling. I've been trained in Emotionally Focused Therapy for Couples and Gottman Therapy for couples. I offer EMDR.
My husband and I live rurally North of Clyde. I'm a mother, stepmother, and grandmother. My therapy dog, Shae, is frequently at work with me. I have two offices located in Westlock and Barrhead, AB. I offer in person and video based counselling for people who are too far to drive.
