I have over 20 years of experience supporting individuals and families. My work is informed by training in crisis intervention, suicide prevention, and trauma-informed practice, as well as experience in private practice, community organizations, and post-secondary education.
My approach is collaborative and respectful of each person’s unique story. I support clients with anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress, relationship challenges, family concerns, grief, loss, and life transitions. I also work with clients impacted by motor vehicle accidents, including those coping with changes to work, school, and daily functioning.
I have extensive experience supporting newcomers and refugees, and understand the challenges related to displacement and adapting to a new cultural and social environment. I strive to offer counselling that feels culturally sensitive and respectful. As a bilingual counsellor in English and Farsi, I am able to connect meaningfully with Farsi-speaking clients.
I tailor counselling to each client’s needs and pace, creating a safe, compassionate, and non-judgmental space where clients feel heard and supported.
