I am a Registered Social Worker with extensive training and experience working with sexual abuse survivors, intimate partner violence survivors, and first responders. I work with teens (16+), adults and couples and am trained in a variety of therapeutic treatment modalities. I am skilled in the treatment of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), anxiety, panic attack, depression, anger management, parenting, relationship Issue and family issue. I have extensive work experience working with clients struggling with codependency, self-esteem, self-confidence, emotional dis-regulation , behavioural issues and family conflict issues.
I am trained and skilled in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Decentralization Reprocessing (EMDR), and Internal Family System (IFS). I use these modalities to develop new skills for stress-reduction, emotion regulation, and effective coping strategies to manage external life circumstances.
My approach is to create motivation to strengthen the vision for a life free of emotional pain, anxiety, and depression. My goal is to encourage clients to see challenging times as an opportunity to create positive change, creating a space to heal from emotional pain.
