Hello! I’m Shadi. I’m a chronically ill, neurodivergent, pansexual, polyamorous, nonbinary counsellor of Indo-Caribbean descent (a full bingo card!). I am passionate about helping folks heal from relational trauma, such as violence and abuse of all kinds.

My primary modality is Somatic Transformation, and I also offer EMDR. And I guess you could say I dabble a bit in parts work and DBT. I value curiosity and connection; I think it’s important. I take an intersectional, anti-oppressive, decolonial approach to my work; Response-Based Practice (a focus on dignity and resistance) has informed my outlook

I value curiosity and connection; I think it’s important to cultivate supportive physiological states in our bodies as much as we can, be that through self-regulatory strategies or through relationship.
