Listening to clients and providing a respectful environment where it is safe to explore life's challenges is the first step. Each of us has strengths. I respect the expertise you have in your own life, encourage you to look at things differently and guide you to discover your own inner wisdom to help you create solutions that work for you. My clients include individuals, couples and families struggling with relationship breakdown, separation/divorce, parent-child problems, employment issues, anxiety, depression or trauma. I have specialized training in mediation, parenting coordination, parenting assessments and EMDR for working with trauma.
Successful therapy begins with the client-therapist connection. My approach is calm, confident, respectful, non-judgmental and collaborative. I enjoy working with individuals, couples, and families, particularly with parents and children from intact and separated families to help them strengthen parent-child and co-parenting relationships.
My goal is to earn your trust and to empower you to connect with your own strengths and wisdom so you can create the changes you want. These changes can result by using traditional "talk therapy" methods or by integrating EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing) into treatment.
