"Through all my personal and professional experience it seems that the foundation for much of our suffering and of our healing is in the context of our relationships with each other. I have found that exploring and unpacking our relationship experience and expectations provides new pathways for healing. I love seeing people's excitement as they become newly aware of the thoughts and feelings of their family, their community, and even their own selves. May we find more hope together. "Hello! I am an attachment-oriented psychologist specializing in treating anxiety and relationship concerns for individuals, couples, and families. My practice is grounded in the belief that we are all hard-wired for connection. I believe that symptoms like stress and anxiety are our bodies’ way of communicating to us that we are feeling disconnected in some way. We can feel disconnected from ourselves (e.g. shame, trauma) from others (e.g. unloved) - or both. Outcomes of counselling include connection, insight, flexibility, practical strategies, and the ability to relate to ourselves and others more kindly and realistically. "

Self-Harming (Cutting) Counsellors
Self-harm (SH) or deliberate self-harm (DSH) is the deliberate infliction of damage to your own body. It includes cutting, burning, scratching, banging or hitting yourself, interfering with wound healing, and the ingestion of toxic substances or objects. While self injury (SI) can look like suicide, it's not; most people who mutilate themselves do it as a way to regulate mood. People who hurt themselves in this way may be motivated by a need to distract themselves from inner turmoil, or to quickly release anxiety that builds due to an inability to express intense emotions.

If you're looking for help with self-harming in T4N or for someone who self harms, or cuts themselves, or bangs or hits themselves, these T4N counsellors provide counselling for self harming in T4N. They include counsellors, who understand self harming in T4N, psychologists, and therapists. They can provide self harming counselling in T4N or treatment for self harming.

How can I tell if a therapist is right for me?
Therapists in T4N are able to work with a wide range of issues.

For example, if you're seeking a marriage counsellor in T4N you'll find that most therapists are trained in marriage counselling or couples counselling in T4N and couples therapy. And they welcome families for family counselling in T4N or family therapy in T4N.
