A core belief that informs my approach to therapy is that there is an inherent goodness within all of us and that we are all seeking ways to realize and cultivate this goodness. Sometimes in this pursuit, we find ourselves stuck in a place that we never expected or anticipated (often not even by our own doing). In this place, it may seem like the harder we try, the deeper we burrow ourselves into somewhere we actually don’t want to be. My hope is that my work consists of coming alongside others who find themselves stuck in these places and collaborate to find ways out and make progress towards realizing the goodness inside.
At bottom, I am an integrative therapist that pulls from a variety of modalities in order to find the right fit for my clients’ situations. My primary modalities are Psychodynamic therapy, Emotion-Focused Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. I use these modalities in order to help gain insights, navigate emotions, and adjust behavioural patterns.
