We are all doing our best with what we have, and sometimes it can feel like our best isn’t enough. All of us are walking around with some kind of pain, big and small, whether we know it or not. As your therapist, I am happy to work with you to adapt and grow with your trauma, develop coping skills, and help reroute any that may no longer be serving you, as well as building up your feelings of safety, validation, compassion, and care. I work with clients 16+ who are adapting to live with their trauma, experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, or who want to strengthen their sense of self and self-confidence.
I am a trauma-informed therapist with an adaptive, integrative, and person-centered approach to psychotherapy. I utilize internal family systems (IFS) and mindful self-compassion practices. My goal is to be attentive to my clients, to meet you where you are at and work to find an approach that best suits your needs, personal history, and experiences.
My professional and educational background includes childhood trauma, sexuality, gender, anti-oppression, and human development, including 8 years in the HIV sector working with diverse populations. I work with clients across Ontario virtually, or hybrid for folks in Kingston, ON. If you feel we may be a good fit, feel free to reach out for a consultation!
