About
Hello and welcome! My name is Sarah Jane and I enjoy working with people from all walks of life. I have experience working with a wide variety of presenting concerns, as well as people from diverse backgrounds and cultural identities. If you're feeling overwhelmed, stressed out, sad, anxious, or unsure what to do next - you've come to the right place. New challenges have arisen for all of us with the Covid-19 pandemic, and our mental health is just as important as our physical health. Talking about what's going on for you with a supportive and caring professional can make a world of difference.
My counselling style is very warm, inclusive, and collaborative. I come from a Rogerian Person-Centred approach, which means that I prioritize your views, values, and understanding about your experiences and challenges. I approach each client as a unique individual, and will meet you with empathy, acceptance, and non-judgment.
Life is hard and research shows that counselling can help! You have taken an important first step by searching for a counsellor who will be a good fit for you, which means you are already on the way to healing. Please reach out to me to find out if we would work well together and take that next step in your journey.
