Welcome! I am an EMDR clinician with a focus on working with people impacted by sexual violence, childhood trauma, and chronic illness/injury including Long Covid. I also work with the impacts of other forms of trauma, anxiety and depression symptoms, and distress around body image and your relationship with food (disordered eating). Whether you are struggling with a current challenge that is impacting your quality of life or the outflow of historical pain, working through what is going on for you with a supportive and caring professional can make a world of difference.
My counselling style is warm, inclusive, and collaborative. I come from a Person-Centred approach, which means that I prioritize your views, values, and understanding about your own experiences, strengths, and challenges. I approach each client as a unique individual, and will meet you with empathy, acceptance, curiosity, compassion, and non-judgment.
Life is hard and research shows that counselling can help! You have taken an important first step by searching for a therapist who will be a good fit for you, which means you are already on the way to healing. Please reach out to me to find out if we would work well together and take that next step in your journey. I offer free 15min consultations.
