Groups
The Healing Forest, nature based group for girls

This nature-based group for children and youth pairs nature-based activities with storytelling and other expressive arts approaches. It is designed to strengthen coping and resilience in children who have been through common causes of stress such as the divorce of parents, moving home, the illness of a loved one or bullying. It can also be used in the aftermath of large-scale crises to prevent and treat post-traumatic stress disorder.

Waves of Change, Nature Based group

Waves of Change is aimed toward women 19+ who identify anxiety as a barrier in their lives and are looking to develop resources and coping strategies to help them manage anxiety and stress. This program fosters positive mental health through a group counselling program based in the outdoors. It takes a holistic health perspective and builds resiliency and skills which can hopefully be integrated into the women’s lives moving forward.
