You have a plan for your life and suddenly, circumstances beyond your control means that plan has to change. Reaching out to others can be hard. Family and friends love you, but may not have the outside perspective you are looking for. I know what it is like to find yourself in a situation you never expected. It is scary trying to figure out how to navigate the obstacles. I work with individuals aged 16+ to help them make positive changes to live their best lives.
I found my passion for helping folks later in life, having gone back to school at age 47 to become a counsellor. I bring not only book knowledge, but also lived experience to our sessions. I am trauma-informed and work from a strength’s-based perspective to help folks manage life transitions, grief, relationship issues, anxiety, and depression.
I believe a therapeutic relationship is based on equality; you are the expert of your life, and I may have some ideas that you haven’t considered. I offer a safe, non-judgemental space for you to talk about what is troubling you. It would be a privilege to be able to help you on your journey.
