Starr Counselling Services BILINGUAL - ACCEPTING NEW CLIENTS - Youth, Parent, Family and Adults. Through my 2 decades of counselling experience, I have come to believe that a better understanding of ourselves is one of the most important steps towards a happier and more fulfilling life. The journey is yours and I aim to support you on the path towards your goals, whatever they may be. Barriers can get in the way. I provide a safe space for you to explore, challenge and remove those barriers within a compassionate and non-judgemental environment.
Counselling services for those seeking support with depression, anxiety, stress management, anger, relationship counselling, parenting, aggression, defiance, fear, discipline, and related issues. I enjoy working with all aspects of change and transition in one's personal development. I look forward to accompanying you towards personal growth and discovery.
Also offering NeurOptimal Neurofeedback. Neurofeedback training for the brain is similar to physical training for the body. Much of our suffering comes from pervasive recurring thoughts and feelings in which our minds become emotionally stranded or cognitively “stuck”. Neurofeedback prompts the brain to draw from its existing resources and pull itself out of these mental “ruts”. The result is a more open and positive mindset in which obstacles are more manageable and problems more resolvable.

Groups
Men's Trauma Processing Group

This group is intended for men who have survived various forms of trauma and are looking for group support, as well as a way to process and share their story. There are two group phases with each phase consisting of 10 sessions. The first phase focuses on safety and stabilization; which includes coping skills, psychoeducation around the impacts of trauma and a safe environment to explore the healing process. The second phase focuses on continuing to provide a safe place for survivors to share and process their stories and to reintegrate these experiences into the survivor’s life story.
