I welcome adults (18+) who experience a wide range of mental health and substance use issues. I aim to provide a calm and stable environment where we can work collaboratively to identify your needs, address your concerns, and accomplish your goals. Grounded in a client-centered, recovery-oriented, and trauma-informed approach, I use Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to facilitate increased self-awareness, emotional processing, healing, and growth.
I have 16 years of clinical experience in private practice, hospital, residential, and community settings. I have an MSW from York University and a PhD in Social Work from the University of Toronto. My research has been published in academic journals, presented at various conferences, and I teach at four Ontario universities.
My intention is to provide a gentle, respectful, and compassionate presence in which nurturing, recovery, and wellness may be experienced at your own pace. I offer in-person and virtual sessions with evening options, and I am currently accepting new clients.
