I am very passionate about my counselling work and feel inspired by the counselling process, my client’s courage, resilience and strengths. I take an integrative approach, drawing from multiple evidence-based modalities and tailor therapy according to each client’s unique needs, goals and preferences. I have broad experience working with clients who are struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma, self-esteem, relationship/pre-marital and marital issues, parenting challenges (including transition into parenthood and post-partum issues), stress management, multicultural issues, grief, work/life balance, and major life transitions.
For me, counselling is a collaborative approach. I believe in the importance of meeting clients where they are and helping them get to where they want to be in their lives. I help clients identify the barriers and what is keeping them “stuck”, identify the steps and tools they need to move forward, and get them to reach their goals.
Counselling is a relationship built on trust. I focus on creating a compassionate and supportive environment. I value diversity and appreciate each client’s uniqueness and enjoy working with clients from different ages, cultures and life experiences. I work with youth, individuals, couples and families.
