As a Registered Marriage and Family Therapist, I enjoy working with clients who have relationship-related goals. Whether you are experiencing difficulty with a romantic partner, friend, or family member, having relationship-related issues can put a large strain on your mental health and prevent you from experiencing happiness in your daily life.
To help improve your relationship with others, I will likely use a solution-focused approach where I will teach communication strategies and conflict-resolution skills. It can also be beneficial to look at what triggers us to react certain ways and develop a way to understand and manage these triggers so they don't hijack our present moments.
I understand how scary it can be to contact someone you have never met to tell them about issues you have been struggling with, so I hope it brings you comfort to know I've been told I have the ability to make people feel at ease in sessions.
