About
The poem, The Imaginary Career (by Rainer Maria Rilke), illustrates exquisitely our human condition. To quote: "At first a childhood, limitless and free" only to become "Defiance- The child bent becomes the bender". To live in that ".. vast, cold empty space, alone" is a very painful place to find oneself. I am here to join with that person in the "empty space" so that they can understand themselves and heal.
I am a clinical psychologist with 20 years experience in a clinical setting. I work with individuals, families, couples and adolescents with problems such as depression, grieving, anxiety, stress and relationship discord. I also work with personality disorders. An assessment and treatment plan is established according to the needs of the patient.
I use a psychodynamic approach which deals with understanding unconscious patterns that lend to emotional pain. The therapeutic work puts order into what feels like emotional chaos in turn leading to meaningfulness and healing. It is a process which takes time. But above all, it is an investment in the self.
