In order to heal and make healthy decisions about our lives, it takes insight and courage. I applaud you for considering counselling as a tool to deepen your understanding of yourself and to facilitate meaningful change. I work with clients who are experiencing a variety of concerns, including anxiety, life transitions, cultural expectations, academic/career changes, relationship issues, and stress. My integrative approach to counselling is grounded in establishing a positive therapeutic relationship and creating a compassionate space, free from judgement.
Mindfulness, acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), are my preferred therapeutic modalities. I also welcome integrating your own approaches to healing, whether they be specific cultural or creative practices that bring you comfort in times of distress.
