Life isn't always easy. As human beings, we are constantly balancing our own needs with those of the people around us. We strive for mental and emotional balance, yet feel drawn to do more for others. We are inundated with tips on how to "be yourself" and still often find it difficult to figure out who that "self" actually is. As a result anxiety and depression are ever more commonplace. And like sometimes it may feel like being stuck in quicksand: the more we struggle to get free, the faster we sink. In order to get out of that trap of ever more activity, we need to slow down and listen. We need to look into the mirror of our Self.
As a psychotherapist, I provide a clear and honest mirror, allowing my clients to explore their feelings, behaviours, beliefs, blocks, and longstanding patterns. Compassionate listening and sensitive communication open a space in which you can find your own answers to life’s big questions. And a variety of tools provide a path toward deepening and change.
In private practice since 2000, I have developed and taught personal and professional development courses. I also have been an active supervisor for psychotherapists and counsellors since 2005. This has allowed me to gain a big-picture perspective and to support clients and supervisees to do the same. I would be honoured to walk a part of your path with you.
