My clients are generally people who are managing a chronic medical condition, are struggling with a life altering diagnosis, who may be finding a life transition challenging(menopause, retirement) and have feelings of anxiety or sadness as a result. I provide counselling to help make difficult decisions.
Using ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) and Narrative Therapy the client is invited to engage with their life in a meaningful and rewarding way. Using hypnotherapy to address issues such as sleep disruption, smoking cessation, or anxiety management.
With a twenty-two year career in the Canadian Health Care System as a registered nurse I am aware of the challenges that a medical diagnosis can have on the emotional well being of an individual. I am here to support my clients through an exceptionally trying and stressful time in their life with understanding and empathy.
