I know that accessing counselling takes courage and I am glad you have landed on my page. Both my lived experience as a queer woman of colour and my training help guide therapy. We will work together collaboratively towards your healing and growth. My experience allows me to see the importance of cultural values and beliefs but also how that may impact an individual in a culturally diverse society. I work from a trauma informed and culturally inclusive perspective. I use an approach that uses the client's strengths to foster growth and promote mental wellness.
I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor with a Master of Counselling Psychology from Adler University and a Certificate in Addictions Counselling. My theory is Narrative Therapy and I am working toward Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) certification. I have over 3 years experience in the mental health field.
Change is possible and takes courage. My primary goal is to create a safe space for my clients which encourages change and wellness. I strive to support my clients in creating a life that involves healing and learning that coincides with their values, beliefs and goals. I would love to be a part of your journey into mental wellness.
