Most people don't come to counselling on a good day. They come carrying something that's gotten heavy. Anxiety, depression, OCD, substance use, or some tangled combination that doesn't fit one category. Sometimes it's acute, sometimes it's been building for years. Either way, it deserves honest and open attention. True meaningful growth doesn't always feel like growth. The process is iterative. Sometimes it requires stepping back to compose ourselves before getting out there again. No therapist holds all the answers, but direction gets clearer when we allow ourselves time to understand, accept, and respond to how we're struggling.
My background is intensive crisis work. Acute mental health response at Surrey Memorial, suicide crisis line management, concurrent disorders. That taught me to stay steady when things feel unsteady. I bring a clinical perspective built in high-demand settings and the grounded presence that comes from sitting with people through real difficulty.
I'm not interested in rushing you toward resolution or handing you a framework that doesn't fit. I'm interested in understanding what you're actually dealing with and working through it with you. Seriously and honestly. You won't be too much for me. I'll meet you wherever you are and stay as long as you need. Currently accepting new clients on Sundays.
