Hello, Aaniin, Bonjour, Ola, Ni-Hao! I am happy you’re here! I am a trauma-focused therapist and offer in-person or virtual therapy. I pride myself on being able to create a safe and trusting environment in which one can work towards their personal goals. My areas of focus are addiction, trauma, managing life stressors and anxiety, educational/learning related challenges.
My personal style is said to be down-to-earth, genuine, & authentic. I see therapy as collaborative with the client/ client goals as the primary focus. To me, every person is unique, with varying needs/abilities. I am a professionally trained teacher, and clinically trained in trauma therapy (PTDS/C-PTSD), DBT, CBT, Motivational Interviewing & IFS (IP).
While I often gravitate towards an integrative mind/body approach, the work we do is person centred and directed by the client. I see my role as helping facilitate client growth by further developing their strengths and by providing appropriate psychoeducation, as well as teaching skills/tools to help reduce anxiety/panic & process previous trauma.
