I am a Registered Social Worker with over 35 years of experience specializing in mental health, addiction, and trauma. My primary focus is on supporting first responders and frontline professionals navigating operational stress injuries, cumulative trauma, and high-demand work environments. I have extensive postgraduate training in trauma-focused therapies, including EMDR, attachment-focused EMDR, Ego State Interventions, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Clinical Hypnosis, Mindfulness-based Stress Reduction (MBSR) and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT). My work is also informed by Polyvagal Theory.
I support individuals, couples, and families experiencing trauma, anxiety, depression, substance use, grief, anger, and life transitions. My approach is trauma-informed, client-centred, and grounded in an anti-oppressive framework, with a focus on helping clients build resilience, regulate their nervous system, and move toward meaningful change.
In addition to my clinical work, I have taught in Mental Health and Addiction programs for over 25 years and currently teach in the Social Work program, providing clinical supervision to Social Workers. I strive to create a safe, collaborative space where clients feel understood, supported, and empowered in their healing.
