Rod Chant is a family therapist experienced in working with couples, families and individuals. His approach includes recognizing unhealthy patterns of behaviour that can keep individuals and couples stuck, frustrated, sad and lonely. His expertise includes helping with managing such issues as anger, depression, anxiety, victimization, co-dependency and addiction, giving the support needed, and providing concrete solutions and tools that lead to more fulfilling life circumstances and relationships.

Undertaking counselling is an intimidating experience. It's important for the client to be heard, and their experience of the "problem" understood by me, the counsellor. Rod's approach is that by leading the counselling process delicately, and respectfully, that he can then open the door to positive self reflection and new possibilities.

Rod utilizes mindfulness based techniques and cognitive behavioural strategies that have proven to be useful in managing the stress, depressive symptoms, and the problem thinking that can lead to one feeling overwhelmed by life circumstances, and the hurt and pain that comes with unresolved issues and relationship conflict.
