I have been a psychotherapist for over 30 years. I specialize in a somatic (body-mind) approach to resolve issues that interfere with one's happiness and well being. We will look at how early life experiences affect us and our relationships. This helps in developing a greater understanding in how one behaves in their current life, creating more options for lasting change. This work is very effective in treating depression by helping one feel more aliveness, energy and a sense of well being.It helps with anxiety by providing tools to create a sense of calm and presence.
We also explore how thought patterns affect these symptoms and ways to change them. It is also very effective in dealing with stress, relationship/marital issues and trauma. In the creating of safety and a trusting atmosphere clients are able to make the changes they want in order to live more satisfying lives.
Therapy is not only about resolving issues, it is about increasing ones knowledge of self, to increase one's capacity for pleasure, joy and aliveness. To live in alignment with ones core sense of self helps one to live their life to its fullest potential.
