I have more than 20 years of experience in counselling individuals, couples, families and youth. Some clients are coping but perhaps in a maladaptive way, so we make a plan together to get you back on track that can instill hope for the future. I have earned a Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology. I have training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused/Brief Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. The approach that I use is to keep four main things in mind: skill building, making positive life choices, to better handle emotions, and to improve relationships.
I work from a client centered, strength based, goal focused approach. Making changes is hard, so a collaborative working relationship is critical in order to customize a therapeutic path that's right for you. Breaking the issue down into small measurable goals to achieve success.
