Hi, my name is Elizabeth Idowu and I am a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). My aim is to provide a safe space where my clients can feel seen and heard, as they embark on a journey towards peace, progress and healing. As a Nigerian-Canadian woman, I have both personally endured and been exposed to the struggles of others who look like me and share similar experiences. That is why I make it a priority to create and hold space for those who may struggle with their identity, and relate to experiences of feeling unheard and unseen.
My approach to therapy is collaborative, anti-oppressive, anti-discriminatory, and spiritually-integrated. I integrate elements of Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Emotionally-Focused Therapy, and Mindfulness into my practice. This allows for a holistic healing experience that is tailored to the specific needs of each individual I work with.
