I welcome new clients. Depression, anxiety, trauma, and other debilitating emotions do not need to be the norm. Tap into the wisdom of your mind. Mindfulness is being in the present moment, which is the only moment you have control over. Meditation changes your brain chemistry. Both are skills you can learn and practice. Treat your mind like any other body part in pain, be tender, kind, and attentive. I am a Registered Psychotherapist with a degree in Psychology from McMaster University. I am a certified Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) Facilitator. I specialize in using mindfulness and meditation to heal.

I work with individuals to help you uncover your innate curiosity, compassion and clarity, in order to feel a greater sense of peace, presence and purpose in your life. We all deserve support in carving out our paths in life. Much of my experience lies in supporting individuals who are experiencing emotional/relational challenges, anxiety, low self-esteem and trauma. I support individuals of all ages, with special interest in working with young adults and new parents (pregnancy/postpartum) who are riding the waves of big life transitions, feeling stuck and exploring who they are. You don't have to navigate this alone!

Relationship Issues Counsellors
While need for human connection appears to be innate, the ability to form healthy, loving relationships is learned. Some evidence suggests that the ability to form a stable relationship starts to form in infancy, in a child's earliest experiences with a caregiver who reliably meets the infant's needs for food, care, warmth, protection, stimulation, and social contact. Such relationships are not destiny, but they are theorized to establish deeply ingrained patterns of relating to others. The end of a relationship, however, is often a source of great psychological anguish.
