I am warm, relational, in depth and practical.
COVID-19 emotional help. I work using both somatic (body) as well as talk therapies (psycho dynamic). I find this combination to be more profound than just one modality. I bring extensive experience with mental illness and trauma. Like most therapists, I have several areas of practice in which I feel distinctly equipped to work. These include anxiety, depression, recovery from interpersonal trauma/ abuse, childhood and adult sexual abuse, neglect, communication issues (for e.g.bosses, friends, partners. family members) stress of everyday life, grief, couple issues, childhood attachment issues, PTSD and dissociative disorders.

Explorations will go BEYOND talking ‘about’ stuff, and will include: Mindfulness around sensations; Expression through images/art; Role-playing; Dream analysis, +++, all in the service of heightening awareness around the relational stances we take, and also evoke, in those around us.
Angry much? Are you and your partner arguing more than ever? Is someone threatening to leave if you don’t change your angry ways? Perhaps your anger even surprises YOU at times. If any of this sounds familiar, let’s talk! Whether you feel alone in your anger - or worry you’ll end-up alone if you don’t ‘do something’ about it - this can be a pretty painful place to be. If you’ve got the energy and desire to get to know yourself a little better, and have the interest to explore your inner 'landscape' more thoroughly, then I encourage you to book a free consult so we can chat more about what’s happening and what may be possible!

There comes a point in someone’s life where they decide, “enough is enough. Something has to change, and this change starts with me.” My ideal client is someone who is tired of old unhelpful repeated life patterns and who is determined to grow and become a better version of themselves. They are individuals who are ready to put in the work to see the results that will lead them to the life outcomes they long for. The issues I have worked for are addictions, men’s mental health, experiences from a multicultural lens, relational issues, and anxiety & coping skills.

***ACCEPTING NEW CLIENTS: IN-PERSON & PHONE/VIDEO*** We believe that there is good in every person, and hope in every situation. We have helped individuals, couples, and families heal, grow, and connect. As relational therapists, we appreciate the impact that our relationships have on our well-being. We do not see clients as having something wrong with their minds that necessarily needs to be fixed. Rather, we see our clients as unique individuals, each with their own stories and perspectives, embedded in important relationships and contexts that impact them. We see strengths and we see hope, even when it feels like there is none.

I work with clients holistically, recognizing that the things we struggle with are only one aspect of ourselves, giving consideration to our needs--spiritual, emotional, physical, cognitive, relational--and our strengths.
***NOW ACCEPTING CLIENTS FOR PHONE/VIDEO*** It’s a privilege and honour to be doing this work, and to walk alongside clients on their respective healing journeys. I believe that everyone is the expert of their own lives and life experiences. By working collaboratively and through meaning-making, I aim to support clients in connecting with their needs, dreams, hopes, as well as to the answers I believe each person has inside them. My approach is trauma-informed, non-directive, strength-based, and client-centered. Healing, the discovery of possibilities, one’s resilience, and one's gifts can all be part of the therapy process.

I'm trained in EFT, CBT, DBT, SFT, ACT, Sand and play therapy techniques. I also provide phone and e-counseling as well as assessment and diagnosis.

To put it simply, I love people. And what inspires me as a therapist is the opportunity to serve others through authentic connection and collaborative insight into clients' thoughts, feelings and actions. While drawn to cognitive behavioral and Mindfulness interventions, for me, providing a safe, warm and open relational component is key. Whether working with couples, individual adults or adolescents, and issues ranging from anxiety, depression, trauma, or sexuality, intimacy and interpersonal functioning, it is a privilege to hold your confidence and assist you in your journey towards integration and wellness

I take a person-centered, holistic, and relational approach to psychotherapy, working at your pace.
We often minimize our own experiences, needs or desires and "push through" because we think we should. This can lead to a diminishing quality of life and it doesn't need to be that way. I support clients through a variety of lived-experiences including: anxiety, guilt & shame, loneliness, depression, attachment-issues (relationships), life transitions/satisfaction, negative self-talk, and a sense of being "stuck" in life. I would like to assist you in working towards managing your challenges and taking control of your life by supporting you in accessing a deeper and healthier connection to yourself, your world, and others.

Trauma, anxiety and depression can leave you feeling overwhelmed and isolated. Therapy can offer you a better way forward. My specialty is working with adults who are survivors of childhood abuse, trauma or neglect. I help my clients live more in the present that they want, rather than focus on fears from the past or worries about the future. As an experienced therapist, I've seen that when people can safely address the traumas in their life, they reduce their anxiety, depression, difficulty with relationships and trust, low self-esteem and overwhelming emotions, among other things.

I work with adults who want to get unstuck from negative patterns and unearth the roots of repetitive reactivity and triggers. They want freedom and peace. The adults I work with seek help with spiritual growth/integration, psychedelic integration, healthy boundaries, anxiety, self-worth, meaning, depression, life direction, co-dependency, communication, addiction, relationships (with self, the Divine, life partner, ex-partner, children, family, co-workers), emotional regulation, grief, loss/divorce, chronic pain and parenting. Helping clients learn from the past and then leave the past in the past is what I love doing best.
