I provide therapy support for women, teens, and preteens struggling with a variety of mental health issues. Many of my clients may come in for anxiety or depression symptoms but have underlying attachment based patterns and an inner attachment with themselves that is broken and hurting. I work with other presenting issues such as grief and loss, self-harm, eating disorders, ADHD and interpersonal issues. I also works with clients who are living with post-concussion struggles. I can provide faith-based counselling if requested.
I am eclectic in my approach but will often find myself using IFT and AEDP as grounding theories. Parts work has been extremely effective with my clients processing trauma (PTSD, CPTSD, and borderline personality) and those struggling with eating disorders and ADHD. Much of my work is integrating the body with the mind which can be scary but empowering!
I have had mine own journey with many of the areas that I specialize. I have a heart for my clients because I have been in similar places. One thing that will always be different is that your experience is unique to you. So my goal is to always empathize but also to hear what your experience has been like for you and how you've been impacted.
