I am a registered psychotherapist and offer psychodynamic psychotherapy and psychoanalysis. I hold a PhD in Sociology, which gives me a particular appreciation for how psychological and relational difficulties are shaped by life experiences and broader social conditions. I see therapy as a unique conversation involving me listening with a non-judgmental curiosity to help you similarly listen to yourself. This approach enables us to explore the experiences and difficulties that bring you to therapy, whether that be a specific crisis, a period of transition, feelings of "stuckness," relational patterns, emotions that trouble you, or an interest in personal growth.
I will work with you to bring awareness to the undercurrents shaping your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours. We will pay attention to aspects of yourself and your history that need to be heard. Exploring together their significance, in order to develop your capacity to face your internal and external challenges.
The aim of my practice is to bring you into fresh contact with yourself, so that you might feel less constrained by old patterns and more open to different paths and choices in life. We will tailor the frequency and length of treatment to your specific needs, circumstances, and dynamics.
