I work with individuals and couples who have come to a crossroad in their life path and are searching for ways to decide on the direction they want to go. My practice is based on the belief that inside ourselves, we hold the information we need to recognize our own best course. Counselling is useful to bring up knowledge and experience that may have been forgotten or buried in the twists and turns of life. It is my job to work with clients, using the training and techniques I have learned, to help them find the resources and confidence to plot their way to the life they choose.
I work with individuals, families and couples. Areas of interest are grief, aging, relationships, trauma, anxiety, family of origin, depression. I use narrative, attachment, EMDR, art and play therapy techniques in a collaborative approach to define and discover the best ways to manage and resolve therapeutic issues.
I entered the field of psychology after working for years to support and raise my family. My life experience helps me see my clients as the main ingredient in their efforts to make the changes they want. I encourage them to see themselves in a hopeful way that will give them faith in the possibility of new outcomes. If this approach fits for you, call me!
