Are you thinking about taking steps towards healing and growth? My practice is guided by principles of integrity, non-judgement, collaboration, curiosity and compassion. I view my clients holistically, and regard what they bring to therapy as subject to nuance. I spent over 10 years doing community-based harm reduction work. I am well-versed in working with clients to build an atmosphere where they feel safe, equipped, and empowered to address and overcome their unique challenges. I understand that such spaces can only be created by actively listening to and applying feedback from my clients and adapting my practice accordingly.
As a queer and non-binary therapist, my practice encompasses the trans and queer community, offering a warm and accepting environment where clients can be their authentic selves. I have diverse experience working with neurodivergent teens, adults, as well as people who use substances.
I specialize in complex trauma recovery, emotion regulation and healthy boundaries. I blend a strengths-based approach with frameworks of harm-reduction, anti-oppression and critical race theory. I draw upon IFS, EMDR, emotion-focused, CBT, DBT skills, and mindfulness therapies to address client health, substance use, mental health and social needs.
