Hi, I'm Ramona. I’m a social worker, trauma counsellor, ADHD/academic coach, & researcher. I support kids/teens, adults, & families with acute, chronic, & complex trauma/PTSD, plus challenges with identity, relationships, life transitions, & executive function. I have a special interest in helping people with ADHD & neurodivergence (e.g., ASD, NVLD, dyslexia), and/or complex cultural identities, migration stories, & mixed-race or Third Culture (TCK/A) heritage. Authenticity is everything to me. As a mixed-race, ADHD, TCK, first-gen immigrant, I know what it’s like to move through systems that were never built for your complexity.
Trauma isn't always one scary event. It can come from years of being misunderstood, criticized, overwhelmed, and forced to function in ways that never matched how your brain works. It can also come from carrying the pressures of migration, conflicting cultural expectations, or family sacrifice while masking parts of yourself and your life just to belong.
My approach prioritizes pursuing competence and confidence in yourself, rather than avoiding failure or working against your abilities/values to fit into a box. I'd love to help you make sense of your identity and experiences, reconnect with parts of you that may have been pushed aside, and build a life that feels safe, integrated, and true to who you are.
