Hi, I'm Rahel. I'm a Registered Clinical Counsellor, and I believe that healing happens in relationship, and that when there is safety and collaboration within the counselling space, you can begin to move towards the growth and transformation you seek. I am passionate about supporting clients with PTSD, complex-PTSD, intergenerational and religious trauma, self-criticism and self-esteem issues, relational and sexuality/sex-related issues, attachment wounds, grief and loss, anxiety, and depression.
My therapeutic approach is embodied, non-judgmental, trauma-informed, compassionate, and client centred. While I work primarily through the lens of Internal Family Systems (IFS), I also draw influence from EMDR and other somatic therapies, and am deeply informed by polyvagal and attachment theory.
Therapy can feel vulnerable and challenging, but you're not alone on this journey. My hope is to help you feel safe and seen, and to know that you matter. As a queer person myself, I especially love working with the 2S-LGBTQIA+ community and welcome all genders, sexual orientations, abilities, cultural backgrounds, relationship structures, etc.
