Hello there! My name is Rachelle and I'm a Registered Clinical Counsellor (14415) with the BCACC. I have over 15 years working in the mental health and addictions field both as a counsellor and as a psychiatric nurse. I have always had a desire to connect and help others with their struggles, and have worked with a wide variety of folks over the years, including people who experience suicidal thinking, depression, anxiety, trauma (both PTSD and complex), substance use/recovery, and grief/loss. I provide a safe and supportive space so for you to explore your internal experience and move closer to your goals and living more fully.
My practice is solidly and consistently grounded in person-centred, trauma-informed and social justice practice. I use a variety of evidence-based modalities including EMDR, IFS, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, CBT, DBT and Mindful Self Compassion. I use these techniques in a compassionate, nonjudgemental and collaborative way with you.
