She/Her/Hers
Therapy is about helping you reach your goals, whatever they might be. Everyone’s journey is different and I will meet you where you are. As a therapist, I build on your inner strengths and resources by providing empathetic and nonjudgmental therapy. I believe you are the expert of your own life and will work to help you recognize your own self-worth and potential. Following years of exploring the research and seeing the benefits firsthand I have a personal and professional interest in mindfulness-based interventions (Acceptance & Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy, & Dialectical Behavioral Therapy).
ACT, MBCT, & DBT are effective treatments for a variety of mental health challenges including stress, anxiety, depression, OCD, trauma, and more. I work with adults and youth in the community and with Western students on campus to help reduce suffering, develop skills, and navigate the many challenges that life throws at us.
Sessions are insight driven and experiential allowing you to discover and develop new ways of understanding yourself while learning practical coping strategies. Together we will explore what's important to you and work collaboratively to help you move towards living an enriched and meaningful life. Let's get started!
