My name is Rachel and I am a Registered Social Worker with diverse experience providing counselling and support services for children, adolescents, adults, and seniors. I am passionate about building effective therapeutic relationships and approach my practice from a person-centered, culturally competent, trauma-informed lens. I work to help clients with a wide range of mental health concerns and behavioural concerns, as well as with processing and healing from trauma, developing healthy coping skills, and learning stress management techniques.
I take a specific interest in counselling children using play therapy techniques and helping children work towards mental health and behavioural goals. I also take a specific interest in providing counselling to care partners of people living with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, or MCI, and I utilize CBT and DBT techniques in my practice.
