Helping overwhelmed parents and mothers create calmer homes and less stress.
Together, we work toward calmer routines, stronger connection, clearer boundaries, and more confidence at home. Many of the families I support are loving, capable people who feel stretched beyond their limits and tired of trying everything alone. You do not need to be a perfect parent. You need the right support. My approach is warm, direct, and practical

Whether there is a conflict at work or you've recently become a parent, stress can wreak havoc in your life and must be dealt with before the problems and symptoms become unmanageable.
I like to problem solve and work with my patients. We both have to work hard to make the necessary changes that will help you find emotional stability and mental well-being. Whether it takes 2 sessions or 20 sessions, therapy can be very life-altering and enriching.

Therapy for anxiety, overwhelm, and emotional healing in a safe, supportive space. Many of the clients I work with are adolescents, young adults, and adults who appear to be managing well on the outside, yet feel overwhelmed, anxious, emotionally drained, or stuck on the inside. They may be navigating anxiety, low mood, body image concerns, relationship stress, trauma, or major life transitions, and are looking for a space that feels supportive, understanding, and non-judgmental. They want relief, clarity, emotional balance, and practical tools to help life feel more manageable.

I also treat individuals suffering from depression, stress, anxiety, or relationship problems and children who are learning to cope with their parents' divorce.
A whole family unit can be disrupted when one member is experiencing difficulty. When I work with children, I strive to support/strengthen the entire family, as change is more likely to occur when the needs of all family members are addressed. Consequently, I provide parenting support, in addition to my work with the child.

I prefer to work in a collaborative manner with young adults going through challenges with school, personal relationships, adaptations, parenting, family and work.
I believe in working with the strengths of the client and not uniquely to improve their challenges. I aim to understand their personal story by actively listening to them so they can achieve their goals. I only see clients who are 16 years or older. I do not carry out psychoeducational assessments.

Trauma, grief, relationship struggles, parenting stress, or major life transitions can quietly shape how we see ourselves and the world around us.
My approach is trauma informed and integrative, drawing from EMDR, talk therapy, mindfulness, psychodynamic work, and CBT. EMDR helps process distressing experiences that may still feel present in the body or nervous system, supporting emotional regulation, clarity, and meaningful change beyond insight alone.

Counselling can be seen as planting a seed that, with nurturing and attention, will grow into something beautiful. Every individual is akin to a seed that undergoes continual growth, advancing through each fleeting season filled with moments of happiness, sorrows, triumphs, bravery, disappointments, and fresh starts. Like seeds, humans require sources and resources to aid them in reaching their full potential, such as sunlight, rain, and soil. And just like every seed holds importance, every human being also possesses inherent value. By choosing to seek counseling, you have taken the first step towards transformation.

What does therapy for parenting look like?
Therapists may work with parents individually, together, or include the whole family to find solutions for the problems a parent faces. Many parent-based therapies work on a parent’s relationship with their children, problem-solving within the family, and analysis of family dynamics. Therapy conducted remotely by video may be helpful in allowing a therapist to observe how families interact in their own homes.

When should a parent seek therapy?
When behavioral problems begin to disrupt the healthy functioning of a family, it may be a good time to look into therapy. If parents find that children are acting out in school, have started using drugs or alcohol, have developed eating disorders, or other similar red flags, a therapist may be able to help.

How long does therapy take for parenting problems?
Depending on the severity of a family’s challenges and the type of treatment utilized, therapy for parenting can last from weeks to months. Cognitive behavioral therapy is a pragmatic therapy type that can be brief, most often ranging from between 5 and 20 sessions. Structural family therapy, which inspects family dynamics, often takes several months. Parent-child interaction therapy is typically shorter-term, lasting between 10 and 20 sessions. For any therapy, the duration will depend on the progress made and results realized.

Can therapy help parents dealing with burnout or stress?
Parenting is difficult. Parents may dismiss or conceal feelings of exhaustion, overwhelm, or escape ideation—imagining withdrawing from their parental obligations altogether. but left unattended, these feelings can have negative effects on the whole family. A therapist can help parents work on the skills they might need to better cope with the burdens of parenting and help them be the best parents they can be.
